Any Pokémon that faints must be released.

Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If Morgan fails to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), their opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is lost.

Morgan must nickname all Pokémon they catch or obtain.

Morgan must use “Set” battle mode.

If Morgan whites out (full-party knockout), they may use Pokémon from the box to try again if they are available.

Morgan cannot use revives to resurrect a Pokémon.

The run doesn’t start until Morgan obtains Pokéballs. Any encounters before that do not count.

No Chat Backseating. Morgan will be tracking their encounters using this app, and will be using this guide to know how much they need to grind.

Morgan will not be using cheat codes to give themselves infinite Money/Repels/Potions/Rare Candies/etc.

Morgan will not be giving themselves infinite TMs.

Duplicate clause: If the first Pokémon in an area is one Morgan already caught, they may continue battling until they encounter one they have not caught, and then attempt to catch it.

Shiny Clause: If Morgan encounters a shiny wild Pokémon, they may catch it, even if a wild Pokémon has already been encountered in that area.

Gift Clause: Morgan will treat Gift Pokémon as “free” encounters (they don’t count as the encounter for that area).
